Need for speed returns?
At first glance I thought this was similar to the CSR series of racing games with limited customization and a lot of races in the drag style which got boring after a while. But after actually going into the app and checking things out, I am very impressed at how the game works such as the currency systems, the customization and the races. I am so glad you have more control over the car then just the gears. It makes the game a lot more fun and challenging. If this is any indication of how things are going to go for the next need for speed game as far as console or pc, I am looking forward to getting the new release. I have been a long time fan and player of need for speed games and I continually go back to need for speed most wanted ( the first version) and I would carbon if I had it. I really want to see more games similar to Carbon and most wanted as far as gameplay and customization. I believe the newest need for speed was also excellent but it lacked in story a bit. I get what they were trying to do and it was cool but I feel as though the best need for speeds were the ones with a strong storyline that brought everything together. I guess that's why I play most wanted a lot. All in all I believe this is a great indication of what is to come from need for speed in the future and I look forward to it.
Need For Speed LIMITS
First off, it's a very well done game. Outstanding graphics and awesome cars and fun. But one MAJOR problem. It's Need For Speed NO LIMITS but instead its NFS LIMITS. There's a limit on how much fuel you have, how many times you can replay events for parts you need, let me tell ya. You need to work as hard as frick if you're going to succeed because you need to upgrade your cars with blueprints. Blueprints are hard to get in the game and it will take months to collect a lot unless you sell all the parts you own for scrap which can be used to buy blueprints. Also gold is rare and you need gold for fuel refills and flipping cards for prizes after an event. The online playing is so messed up. They expect me to beat a high level LaFerrari in my Dodge Viper? What the heck?! The online races need work done so that people can race a equal level player to them. Also I'm kinda upset of how many cars are in the game. They need to add more and without the whole earn the new car in the special event lasting 7 days thing. Also I'd like a mode were you can just race for fun without using fuel and earning prizes. That would be fun. Also the tracks are getting old. They need to add new locations please! Anyways good game for anyone who likes to race and wait and kinda get bored a lot. This game needs some work and I know it can be much better based on other NFS games.
I have been a fan of the Need for Speed series since the very early PC versions which I actually prefer for many reasons. I decided to install this latest incarnation so I had the game available on my iPad. This game reminds me of NFS Undercover (I never played NFS Rivals) as far as game mechanics, race selections, and power-ups. I was not a fan of this type of progression architecture, but nevertheless has its fan base. My biggest gripe of this game is the drift mechanics. I do my down swipe and go into a drift and works fine most of the time, but every time I try to drift into the last left turn in the second race (Hunter?) in the Volkswagen series my car goes straight into the arrow wall. After 5 tries I gave up and will most likely have to delete the game from my iPad. I noticed this in other races also. I will give it a few more tries in hopes it's just me doing something wrong. We'll see.
