Try Double Dog Instead

Updating my review to say that the movie is great! But I had such high expectations for this app. I wanted to do dares and you can’t do it here. I looked for another app to do dares and I found Double Dog. It’s the real deal with real money dares. Not like the movie that you get thousands of dollars to do crazy scary things, but more like smaller amounts to do fun dares. And you can also send dares to anyone you want. The only problem with Double Dog is that people won’t dare you a ton of money, or maybe some people do, I don’t know, but either way it’s fun. I really had high expectations for the Nerve app. And it’s sad that they missed such a great opportunity to make something cool. I understand it’s a marketing thing to promote the movie, but I wish it was at least similar to the other app with smaller dares so people don’t get hurt. The other problem with the Nerve app is that it takes a VERY LONG time to load the 3D videos, and when it finally does load, without crashing, it’s just a short VR simulation of an animated girl walking on top of a ladder. When you look down she doesn't have a head, so all you see if a hole where her neck should be.

Great Concept

I like the interactive experience. I understand all the bad reviews but remember that most of the dares in the movie were illegal. If people got the option to do those or have people suggest dares, it can turn bad and even dangerous. This would make authorities shut down the app completely and the company could get sued along with many other consequences.

Wish it would update to be better tbh :/

I don’t know if the makers of the game will update the app soon, but so far, I’m disappointed. I was hoping that it would be at least a bit similar to the app in the movie. Im a big fan of Nerve but the app is kinda making it less fun. You can only look at 3 of the same dares and there’s only like 4 videos you can watch... please update soon!! ☹️😑
