Most Useful App for Anatomy

Any student in medical school is familiar with Netter's. This app is an incredible upgrade from the traditional book or even .pdf of the original.

The app has hundreds of plates depicting every part of the human anatomy, often in multiple views and degrees of 'dissection'. Additionally, the label quiz option is a huge bonus compared to the book version; the quizzes really help to make learning much easier. Another added benefit compared to a hard copy (in addition to not having to lug around a huge book) is the ability to quickly search within plates- no longer is it necessary to flip to the index, flip back to a plate and hope it is what you wanted.

There are a few drawbacks to this app. It is certainly an expensive app (although the expense is offset by how convenient it is and how much use it will receive). The hidden skull feature is also a failed attempt at making the application 'game-like'. If I just spent $90 USD on your app, I don't want to hunt through every single screen, hoping to find a skull so I can unlock a plate I already paid for. There's also no guide to quickly guide you where to find these skulls- seriously, the person responsible for the implementation of this feature is delusional at best.

Overall, this app is certainly worth it. Yes, it is probably the most expensive app you'll ever purchase, but it will also be one of the most used apps you have.

Extremely useful tool

This app is the best resource for studying anatomy by far. It has everything that's on the book except that the book can't quiz you and doesn't have a search option. There are just a couple of things that make the app feel a bit dated such as the startup screen picture that is blurry. I assume it's because some images didn't transfer over well into retina. However the actual anatomy images are perfect.

Buy it, you won't regret it.

It would be great if you could touch the pin and the label gets highlighted. It's often difficult to find the label especially on crowded images. I know you can touch the label and disable then enable the pin but it's annoying to first have to guess which label it is.

This app needs tabs!

I'm a first year medical student, and I love this app, but I do find it to be tedious to navigate at times. It's especially difficult when I need to go between two or more plates for a while. To do this, I have to go back to the menu, access a different plate, and then return to the menu again to go back to my original plate again. One feature that I would love to see this app have is some way to have multiple tabs open simultaneously.

Apart from these problems though, I do find this app to be extremely helpful, and I love netter's work.

Be aware that you are essentially buying a textbook rather than an app. They haven't updated it at all in several years and if you want the updated 6th edition, it'll cost you $45 more...which is ridiculous.
