Do you feel like you need a translator to talk to your kids? Did you know that "POS" can mean "Parent over shoulder" or that "420" refers to marijuana? Many of today's text messaging jargon terms may be funny, but we know that some are very serious. Love them or hate them, their use is rampant. NetWords provides a dictionary for SMS texting and instant messaging abbreviations and slang. Keep a handy translator with you at all times so you can stay hip and informed.
Over 1800 terms are included in the dictionary and future free updates will add new terms. Easily search through the NetWords terms and meanings and see the search results as you type. Browse the terms quickly by sliding your finger along the familiar index. The meaning of each term is displayed below the term at all times. Definitions that are too long to fit are shortened with an ellipsis (...) at the end. Simply tapping on a term will reveal the full meaning, with multiple meanings on separate lines.

Best texting dictionary
I've looked at and compared quite a few of these type of apps. At the moment, this one is the best available IMO. It has the largest database of words (hopefully the developer won't rest on their laurels and continue to provide updates). A nice feature to add would be a way to submit new phrases and abbreviations not currently in the app to the developer to review from within the app. Another feature that would be most helpful to me would be to add another sliding index alongside the first ala WordBook. Because the master list contains more than 2500 words, just jumping to the letter "R" for example isn't enough. Providing a second slider would allow one to jump to "R" and then "O" for example. Providing two sliders would let you cover the master list with much greater precision. There is of course the search function, but sometimes you just want to browse. Lastly I just wanted to mention that I really like that you can look up abbreviations in wikipedia directly from within the app, although most don't have any extra info, it is still a nice touch. Give me the second index slider and I will give 5 stars.
Waste of time
This is a waste of time and money....... As a teen I know that no1 uses the majority of these words and that even tho we so use some of em' we don't feel like typing out these big long words like dwpkotl. if u r already typing that Much you should just type out the whole thing! Well that's by opinion...... And btw I am always on my fone an have never even heard of half this junk. So HA to whoever made this app. A and on top of that if we type something as simple as nice or words of the sort then that's what we mean to say ! Not some complicated acronym!!!!!!! Parents... They thnk they know everything ..... FYI u don't. HA
Don't bother waste of money. I'd give 0 stars if I could.
