It seems to be okay....

I like the app, but it took awhile for my other apps to be able to use this app to link to my investment accounts. You guys did fix it though. Also my touchid stopped working when you guys updated as well as I don’t like the dashboard where I have to check all my transactions. It only shows 7, you should show more. Plus search feature needs to show transactions with keyword. I couldn’t get that to work. The online statements are easier to get to and I like that. But there are a few usability things that need tweaked. Also not app related, I signed up for this bank because of its 7 days a week status. You guys now have normal bank hours which is really messed up. You sucked us in with that and then completely jumped on the bandwagon of other banks. But I have to say you guys have the best bank cards with the tap purchases so I will stick around for that reason. Also why would my bank charge me more than Walmart and the corner store to get a money order? Makes life harder and another stop to make. You guys need to fix that.

Who do you hate efficiency?

I’m so frustrated with everything you’ve done with your mobile platform since the launch of your first banking app. I rarely take the time to write poor reviews, but I can’t say nothing.

Your first app didn’t do much, but it did it adequately. Then you quietly discontinued it without any communication. I only discovered this when, upon repeated login attempts, I searched the App Store and found you’d released a new app altogether.

Upon logging into the new app, I was informed I’d need to “enroll” in the new system and verify my entire identity – bank account number, social security, PIN, etc – as well as create a new password and security questions. Why? Not because my login information was incorrect but because you apparently chose not to migrate your user profiles over to the new system.

The final insult came today when I attempted to log into my TCF web portal, only to find my Login ID was “not valid.” I have it saved to auto-fill on the TCF app. It works just fine. Guess what the solution was? I had to select “Forgot ID,” complete an enrollment form verifying every single piece of security on my account, and then I was granted access. It didn’t even ask me to change my Login ID.

What kind of madness is that?!

I’m 28, and I’ve been a TCF customer for over 15 years. I won’t be a customer much longer. Because simplicity is important, and my time is too precious to waste it wishing I could get into my bank account.

Nothing to Complain About

I just started using online banking and I’ve quite enjoyed the ease of use so far. I love the “quick glance” feature which lets me view what’s in my account without making me enter a password every time. I also have had a positive experience with the mobile deposit feature, and I’ve never had a problem with it. I see others have had problems and I suspect it’s how they are taking the photos. Be sure to put your check on a dark surface and make sure no shadows are on the check. It’s difficult for computers to tell the difference between text/writing and shadows. Hope this helps.
