Good app but missing some major sites

In terms of structure and functionality this is a very good app – easy to use, nice description of each site, walking directions, map, pictures, and links of interest. The content, as far as it goes, is generally good (although the app should probably be dubbed the Greenwich Village Rock History Tour not the New York Rock History Tour, as it only covers sites in the Village). However, while the 15 rock-related sites included are cool, there are some serious omissions: the still operating Bitter End where many rock artists first performed, and sites of the sadly departed Bottom Line and Electric Factory. Also to this Buddy Holly fan, his apartment where he made his final recordings (“Peggy Sue Got Married” and “Crying, Waiting, Hoping” among others), just around the corner from Electric Ladyland Studios, should be included. Also, a major error: the app states that the Fillmore East was run by Phil Graham, when it was actually Bill Graham (Phil Graham was a Senator from Texas). Finally, a suggested enhancement: three of the sites are locations where album rock covers were shot and I love the fact that the app superimposes the cover over a picture of the site. However, it would be good to include a picture of the album cover on its own. Bottom line on this app: well worth the $2.99 price as a starting point in terms of touring the Greenwich Village rock sites, but could be better.

Interesting history

So many places with so much history that are something else now. You wouldn't know what happened here without this app.
