If You Need Pictures to Order From A Menu

If you need pictures to order from a menu, then this App is for you. In fact, you can now have many Apps that waste your time by removing a list from which you can quickly scan through and select. Isn't it great to take oodles more time just looking at the pretty pictures? Apparently this is what education has stooped to...lots of pretty pictures. Unfortunately I have a bad habit of wanting to be efficient and find information in a short period of time.

Update, try Fox News. They give you the option of a more listed screen. It's a gift to be able to look at more than 4 things at once. I don't have all day to shuffle through picture after to picture. Imagine if you had to read the Wall Street Journal or New York Times this way. 360 is a bad App for grown up people. I blame the creators of the last IOS versions for this nonsense. I guess they are just catering to a dumbed down audience. I am seriously looking to get out of the Apple world. It has become the domain of software for trendy youngsters.

Good replacement for Zite

Zite has been my go-to news source until it started to fall apart a few weeks ago. I played around with a few other possible replacements and found News360.

The good:
News depth coverage is much better than in Zite. Every article comes loaded with a series of related topic buttons and another button to see all articles on the same topic.

News360 learns your preferences just like Zite, but better. You can thumb up and thumb down articles, but you can also say specifically what you liked or didn't like in that article. I haven't been working with the app long enough to see how efficient it is at learning my preferences.

News360 has many more topics. Many more. And you can look up articles based on any keyword whereas Zite grays out a keyword you enter if it isn't in their topic database.

The Meh:
The interface is more crowded and less clean magazine like than Zite. It's kind of like Ikea - easy to feel trapped in a maze of stuff.

The Bleh:

I can't figure out how to get News360 to recognize a url or rss feed. I seem to have hit a roadblock with some of the Apple/Mac blogs I used to read in Zite.

My Zite replacement

Although FlipBoard would like to convert all of us Zite users, I find their interface to be awful. I think News360’s interface for disliking an article (i.e. marking which article tags you don't like) are better than Zite, but something about News360’s topic selection system is unintuitive to me. As I recall, Zite allowed you to enter any keywords you were interested in. News360 seems to want to channel you into the tags that it knows about. For example, I typed in "backpacking" and it counter-offered with "camping", which I consider to be different.

I also wish that it allowed me to edit the title of an article before sending it to Pocket (like Zite does).
