Reading for fun is back. Articles span topics from science and technology, to history and politics, to sports and the arts. So every student can find something something he or she will love to read. With every article published at five different reading levels — and most available in English and Spanish — even the most hesitant readers can find joy in reading.
As students read and take quizzes, the Newsela app adjusts the reading level to keep articles challenging and engaging. Plus, students can keep track of their improvement over time as Newsela visualizes progress automatically.

I love Newsela! It gets my daughter interested in topics in the news and it is a great introduction to reading a real newspaper. I have been learning a lot as well!! The best part is the ability to change reading levels. I like to start high, then lower it if there are too many challenging words. I wish the quizzes were more digital, or maybe they are and I have not discovered how to use it!
Pretty bad connection problems.
I am on full bars of Internet and I can do everything else good. Then, im trying to get my 3 Done for my homework, but every time I hit submit I get, no connection. I clearly have fine connection but the app says no. Plz fix, otherwise useful to teachers, annoying for students.
Newsela has interesting new stories. The quizzes can be a little difficult.(depending on your reading level). Other wise the app is good for reading the latest news stories.(for kids)
