Good news source
After having loading issues with the Smart News app which I have used for years now, I deleted that and got this. I love the eady layou, the customizable news feed especially that I can receive local news coverage, and that the categories that interest me most can be expandd. E.G. I lov politics so there is a "see more politics" option which allows me to see more in-depth articles. I lke this app and probably will never return to Smart News.

Keeps me up to date on news
I don’t have a lot of time to watch all the news so I really love getting the important things that come across my screen. That way I can tap on it and it takes me to to whole story. Even if it’s not all that important it does keep me in touch with what’s happening in our country and our world around us.
Decent with flaws
Overall, this isn’t a bad app. Reading other reviews I see a lot of complaints about inability to comment and “fake news”. Neither are an issue for me personally.
My complaints about this app include the following. First, I cannot set my location, which means I cannot get local news tailored to me. Second, I cannot set filters. I’d like to filter out specific topics/keywords/etc. so that the news is actually interesting rather than an exercise in frustration. And last, I’d like to also filter out specific contributors (e.g. TikTok, Instagram).
