Gorgeous and Buttery Smooth.
I had to stop playing after ten levels just to write this: I'm blown away by the beauty and execution in this game. It's the dev's best game thus far and I love everything about it (the graphics are stunning; I've always wanted a game that looks like this). The gameplay is smooth and engaging, relaxing yet challenging. I'm not gonna want it to end so I hope there are updates in the future. This is the only game that has take me away from Leap of Fates. By the way, devs, I don't know if you realize it, but you have an amazing racing game hidden within; after you complete each level, you follow a dot to the next level. It momentarily feels like a racing game as you chase this dot around and it feels and works great. It would be phenomenal to see an update that included a racing mode where you must avoid obstacles and make it to the destination first. Huh?! Huh?! Thanks for this game, guys!
This game, is amazing. The soundtracks, graphics, AI, and gameplay make this game worth every penny. The game is basically this: you are an orb, and you must avoid all the red things and activate the circles. However, it isn't just that. After you skillfully avoid the danger and pass the stage, another orb will guide you to the next part of the level. The orb will follow you if you are moving in the wrong direction, and the next area will be a ways from the area you started in. The fact that the areas are laid out like that, and the amazing graphics just give the game THAT much personality.
Over all, I really recommend this to anyone. It is well worth the money.
Great game albeit short
Nightgate is a breath of fresh air compared to a large percentage of games out there. It's a game based on a simple idea of getting from A to B in some form of mathematical space visualization that's quite well done. Playing the game you feel immersed in the 3D expanse of simple yet elegant graphics.
My chief complaint is that the game simply ends to easily and early. If you wanted to you could compete it within a few hours. Outside of that, this game is well worth the game time. I've played this both on my ATV and iPhone and the experience on either is very good.
