By downloading the app, you agree that Nike provides these stickers for you to use only for that purpose. Nike may revoke this permission at any time.
Nike+ Run Club integrates with the Apple Health app to sync your workouts and record heart-rate data.
Please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
What's New in Version 5.4.1
Thank you for being a part of the Nike+ Run Club community! We appreciate all of your feedback and ratings.
- Fixed an app load crash issue affecting some users
- Fixed missing shoe tagging data for some users
If you are still experiencing a blank activity history screen, please know that your activities are not lost. We are working to fix this issue, but in the meantime, force quitting and re-opening the app should resolve this issue.
Bug Fixes and Improvements:
- Improved reliability of heart rate data transfers to phone
- Improved experience when running with your watch and phone. Start a run from your phone and your watch app will automatically start.
- TIP: For running indoors, start the run from your watch and make sure you have the 'indoor' setting toggled to on. The device that you start your run on is the primary tracking device.
Bug Fixes and Improvements:
- Improved shoe tagging functions, including ability to retire a shoe. Swipe to retire your shoes from your Profile or on the post-run summary screen.
- We've made it easier to select a goal-based run. Choose 'Distance' or 'Duration' to track a goal-based run and receive in-ear feedback as you get closer to your goal. You can also choose 'Speed' to track an interval run workout.
Please note: version 5.4.1 of Nike+ Run Club requires iOS 10. For the best results on Apple Watch, we recommend using watchOS 3.1 or above.

You destroyed an awesome running app!!!
Update: Nike is winning a war of attrition by hoping all the old faithful users will give up and forget how awesome and simplistic it used to be. Nike is envious of social media apps. It's overcrowded with too much fluff. At least bring back achievements and access of friends stats! :(
Update: After thousands of negative reviews stating the old design was far superior, Nike refuses to listen by making small updates!!!
Nike is ruining a good running app by forcing it into another form of social media. They've scrapped what made it the best running app, and made hashtags the focal point! The new design should make the app easier to use not harder and more complicated. I've lost about 10 miles of history on multiple months. They scrapped the achievements that made self competition interesting! The friends section was downgraded. I can't access their stats and info as before. Connecting with friends is more difficult now. Instead of competition between my friends, but forced to join hashtags with people I don't know. I will probably go back to the Strava app. I will be changing apps until Nike gets its act together!!!
The previous version was way better
The new version of this application crashes often, It doesn't have the motivational qualities of the old one. I cannot get trophies anymore or any type of recognition, this application looks cheap and it's always having issues. Something that really made me feel angry was the fact that I lost miles on my shoes, that is very bad because I can no longer track how many miles I have in any shoes accurately. Since that update the shoes are accumulating miles but I lost most of the previous data on each one.
On the other hand, the application is more professional friendly, now I can track my pace better than ever and it's more fun to share my workouts with my friends. But I still think that these features could be added to the old app and everyone would be happy. I consider this new version a downgrade compared to the old one.
I update cautiously.
With the stunning debacle that was the roll out of version 5, I waited until 5.3 to update. I now cautiously download each update. I wait for a few days and let others find out if the update fixes more than it breaks.
Nike has restored most features that previously existed while adding social media features that I have no use for. The previous features for which I enjoyed the app have been obscured in the new UI. However, I have been having a "so far so good" experience with the coaching feature that makes me think it was worth the risk of the update.
In the end, Nike does not have my trust but has produced an app that is still worth putting up with. Not an app that I can get excited about and encourage others to use. Ultimately, I don't think Nike cares as demonstrated by how they rolled out version 5 so poorly.
