Who is this app actually targeted at?

My 2 year old Garmin 220 running watch is about 10X as useful for runners at the Nike+ in Apple Watch 2, as are most of the free apps such as MapMyRun. How can you call this a running app and not even allow us to see/hear our split times, one of the most important and basic of functions for anyone training for a race of 5k or longer? Why bother tracking heart rate if you won't let us actually see it (unless you happen to carry a microscope with you)? Why advertise that there is built in GPS when the pace information that Nike+ reports during a run is wildly inaccurate (measured against Garmin and against MapMy Run). Yes it has pretty bells and whistles, large numbers (I actually appreciate that), social media reporting and inspirational messages, but none of those things matter if it can't report even the most basic of functions that even casual runners hold dear. Am now using MapMyRun through Apple Watch2 (after working hard to uninstall everything from Nike+ since Nike+ seems to overrides reporting functions of other running and fitness apps), but truly disappointed that I was stupid enough to shell out close to $400 thinking that Nike's partnership with Apple would mean that they were going to build a worthwhile alternative to dedicated running watches like Garmin. Please read these reviews (there seem to be hundreds of them), take them to heart, and build us a running app that is actually for runners...

Treadmill very inaccurate

Edit: I just ran another 3.1 mi on my treadmill and it recorded only 2.3 mi. An inaccuracy of 26% is ridiculous. The phone is in the same pocket experiencing the same accelerations as it did before the 5.0 update when treadmill accuracy was excellent. It is now more inaccurate than when the 5.0 update first came out. With more folks running inside with the winter coming Nike better get this fixed.

For the last update I gave the app 5 stars since it appears all the bugs were fixed. I ran on my treadmill with my phone in my pocket as I've done for years and it was only off by 0.05 mi after 3.1 mi. This is within the accuracy the app had with the pre-5.0 update that caused everyone so many problems. I've run outside ever since but now am back on the treadmill today and the app was 0.32 mi off after 3.1 mi, with the phone in the same pocket it's been in for years when running. 10% inaccuracy is the worst it has ever been. The pre 5.0 app was never even remotely this bad. Please fix this. Base the calibration on the distance the user changes the distance to for each treadmill run, so the app knows how many steps are taken for treadmill use per mile. Using outside running for calibration won't work when there are hills and such.

Not a good running app anymore

So disappointed. This app used to be great and with the update to version 5 Nike removed many of the features that made this a good running app. Those features include achievements, solid coaching plans, and different ways to look at your runs like graphs by month. Even features that aren't completely gone are just worse. For example, I'm a runner. The most important thing that I want to see how many miles I've run! But on the running history page the miles are in tiny gray lettering and difficult to read. Why is the headline "Wednesday morning run"? Who cares?? Nothing used to give me more satisfaction than scrolling through my history and seeing how the miles added up by month. Hard to do that now.

Another example of a feature that's worse is the rating system after the run. It used to be simple and rewarding. How did you feel? Awesome? Tired? Now it's a weird scale with ratings that don't necessarily go together - what if it was a hard 20 miler because of the distance but you weren't breathing hard? No rating can describe that in the new version 5.

Overall, a very disappointing change from an app that used to be great. Not hard to fix. Bring back the old features!
