This app includes Nike stickers you can use in the app and on iMessage to share with friends. You can find the iMessage stickers in the iMessage app store by searching for NRC. By downloading the app, you agree that Nike provides these stickers for you to use only for that purpose. Nike may revoke this permission at any time.
Nike+ Run Club integrates with the Apple Health app to sync your workouts and record heart-rate data.
Please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
What's New in Version 5.7.0
We’ve been busy. Check out our latest improvements:
- Speed Run has arrived. You can now mark intervals and laps by using the Speed Run feature on your watch
PRO-TIP: Double-tap on the main screen during your run to mark intervals
IMPORTANT: You need to authorize NRC to access Motion and Fitness Activity in order to track a run
For the best results on Apple Watch, we recommend using watchOS 3.2.2 or above.
- Trophies and Achievement badges are back! Stay motivated and celebrate your accomplishments with brand new achievements.
Collect, celebrate, and share on Nike+ (and anywhere else you want).
- We’ve made it easier to find friends! Check out the improved experience by clicking on the ‘Add Friends’ icon on the Club tab.

Long Time User, Consistently Frustrated
The saga of Nike and its tech foibles continues. Nike just can't get its head around how to pull something off well in this tech space. The app has been in what I would deem to be 'beta' for years - always something that's removed, or something that's promised that never comes, or a 'new, better way' that doesn't really work. This time it's that runs are now in the cloud.... okay, but when will they show up in my history again? When can I see an accurate leaderboard? When will the coach actually see the runs I do, and update accordingly. The only thing that DOES load, without fail, is the newsfeed (aka marketing pictures of their shoes). I get that this is a loss leader to build a brand and ultimately sell shoes and gear (I even do my part on this front), but this app has single-handedly obliterated Nike's brand in my mind's eye. It seems like such a simple thing - you track peoples' runs and store them so they can see progress and compete with their friends. And yet, it never just works. Don't even get me started on the half baked coach aspect that can't even load the schedule or update it after a run is completed! Argh!
Great app. User since 2008.
I've been running with this app (previously Nike+ Run) since '08. There have been a few setbacks along the way, like when they first released the new, rebranded Nike Run Club app. But for the most part there has been constant improvement and commitment by Nike. The app works well now with Apple Watch and it's nice to be able to leave my phone behind sometimes and to have a view of my heart rate.
The website isn't as good as it used to be. But, I don't think most users (myself included) log into all that much. The info you need is right in the app.
For most runners this app (+ Apple Watch) is all you'll ever need. Just waiting now for Apple to add LTE to the Apple Watch so I can leave my phone behind and still be connected and able to make emergency calls.
Still could be better... edited review
I can't see my activity anymore, i have to either run or add more distance and not even. FIX IT ALREADY! Sick of all the glitches and crashes. You guys used to be great. If it ain't broke don't fix it! Love that it's user friendly again. Sometimes it crashes and it takes 2-3 tries before I can start running. I would love to be able to choose more than one running area since where I run is trail, track, and road. i run most days on all three. I do miss going into my profile and friends profile, and seeing fastest, longest runs, and times. MISS DEEPLY OLD PROFILE, much more life before. There should be another way of communication with friends such as private messages or leave messages on their profile( message board)that'd be fun. This app crashes way to much and I can't see me history anymore whenever I want unless i go for another run, don't like this.
