Ratings and Reviews
Review update oct. 10, 2017 DON't download app😡
I just love how this app get worse with each update! Done! Goodbye nike hello Strava, way more user friendly and does not crash every 5 f... second and lets me see my activity whenever the heck I want! So dissappointed I have been a user for maybe almost 5 years. I used tp swear by this app recommend it to everyone and you have converted it into a piece os trash!
I can't see my activity anymore, i have to either run or add more distance and not even. FIX IT ALREADY! Sick of all the glitches and crashes. You guys used to be great. If it ain't broke don't fix it! Sometimes it crashes and it takes 2-3 tries before I can start running. I would love to be able to choose more than one running area since where I run is trail, track, and road. i run most days on all three. I do miss going into my profile and friends profile, and seeing fastest, longest runs, and times. MISS DEEPLY OLD PROFILE, much more life before. There should be another way of communication with friends such as private messages or leave messages on their profile( message board)that'd be fun. This app crashes way to much and I can't see me history anymore whenever I want unless i go for another run, don't like this.
STILL CRASHING, STILL FREEZES MY PHONE, STILL CAN't SEE ACTIVITY, STILL FREEZES AFTER RUN CAN't SEE MY SPLITS NOTE MY SHOES. Didn't use it for a month thinking it would get better, nope still crap. You guys are loosing users
Great for what I need
I've only been using this app for a couple of weeks, but it has been working wonders for me. I am not a vivid runner by any means. I started using this app to track my progress in my weight loss journey. My runs are only a mile and a half each day, for the time being, so I haven't experienced any issues that the other reviews have pointed out concerning crashes. I love the achievement section and how you are able to log miles on the sneakers you are running in. There are only two things that keep me from giving this a 5 star rating. First has to do with the music. I have plenty of music on my iTunes, but I prefer to listen to Pandora. Maybe I haven't fidgeted with the app enough, but I haven't found any way to set Pandora as my music preference. It would be nice to be able to do that. Secondly, I use the timer on my phone to track my time because I time myself running run way. Once that time is up, I turn around and run back. The problem is when my timer goes off, my workout pauses. Again, I haven't fidgeted with the app too much, so I don't know if a workout like that is available. I just don't like that my workout pauses just because my timer that isn't even part of the app goes off. Both of those are small issues that I have adjusted to, but the app would have five stars from me if those issues were not there.
Nike Just Can’t Do It With NRC
I love Nike and have used the NRC app for that reason. I’ve tried to give Nike the benefit of the doubt but they just can’t get this app working properly. Yes, there are a lot of great features and tips but as far as the actual running feature, it’s horrible. It constantly crashes during my runs. If it actually works properly on my phone it doesn’t record my heart rate. If it works using my watch it doesn’t map my run. There’s never coordination within the app between my phone and my watch, which is extremely frustrating. I stopped using NRC for a few months and was using the Workout function on my Apple Watch and everything was fine every run. Today I said I’d give it yet another shot with NRC but a mile into my run the app crashed who knows when and wasn’t recording my run. It destroyed all my momentum and I stopped running. I’m done Nike. I’ve contacted customer support in the past but nothing has worked. I was planning on buying a Nike Apple Watch 4 but now I’m questioning whether it’s worth making a $400+ commitment when Nike can’t even get the main function of a running app working properly. I’m going to either keep using the Workout function of my watch or go back to Runkeeper. I never had issues with them. The reason I went to NRC was because of the Nike brand. I will continue supporting Nike with everything else, but in regards to NRC, I’ve been given no reason to continue.
