What's New in Version 5.4.0

We’ve all been there. You set up your training plan only to have life get in the way. Well, now it doesn’t have to. Edit your preferences without starting over at any time:
• Change the equipment you have available
• Update the number of workouts you want prescribed each week
• Add/remove running
• Adjust the difficulty level

Keep tabs on yourself with our improved Benchmark workout experience:
• See how the Benchmark you’ve just completed compares with the last

Love the workouts, wish the app was more user friendly

First off, I really like this app. I try to lift 3-4 times per week and when I get tired of my regular weight lifting routines this is a great way to mix things up. The NTC workouts have a lot of great full-body workouts and I think they really help with endurance training. That being said, I think there are a few places where the app really needs an update! For one, I hate that I can't lock my phone without the app pausing! If I'm at the gym I always keep my phone in my pocket and it's such a pain if I accidentally lock my phone. Along with this, they should add some lock-screen functionality so that you can check off an exercise and continue on. Lastly, I think it would be great if they added some AppleWatch functionality. They already have the Nike Running AppleWatch so why didn't they create a NTC app for the watch? This would really help with checking off exercises without having to pull out your phone each time. My only other critique is that sometimes the equipment used in the workouts doesn't lend itself to many people's public gyms. For example, one workout has you doing supersets with a rower and a squat rack but at my gym I would never be able to leave a squat rack for that long without giving it up.

After 3 babies in less than 3 years, I was very frustrated with where I was physically. I used to be active all day, everyday & my body just couldn't do it anymore. Not just the added weight-my overall strength & tone had definitely declined. I tried a few other programs for eating, running, yoga...but they just weren't cutting it. I wasn't staying active after about a week.

This app designed a 4-week, beginner workout for me with what I have at home-which is nothing. And has gotten me going!! I can do inside or out. If I can't get it done before everyone wakes up-I can squeeze it in at nap time. I can even stay on top of my workouts when I travel!! It's gotten me back into the habit of daily workouts & I love it!! The workouts have also been great as far as adapting to my post-partum "bod".

I enjoy the cues/commentary. It's firm but not angry; encouraging but not "fluffy". I also enjoy how it will drop the music volume for a cue. And that I can pick my music source. I'm looking forward to stepping up my intensity!!

Great!

I really do enjoy this app. I used to have the old version which was disappointing. Most of those things were fixed in this update! I'm using it to get back in shape and serve as my accountability. The workouts I'm doing are really good and have helped me be "lazy" while getting used to working it regularly again. My only consistent complaint are the cool down exercises. While they are great stretches, there's no good transition between the active workout and a cool down that will slowly bring your heart rate down. One day I went from something very active like mountain climbers to laying on the floor doing a static stretch. I felt like my heart was going to explode! Please change this! As an avid exerciser, I know how to manage my cool downs but this can be dangerous for someone who is just really figuring things out and strictly following the directions.
