an OK app, but could be improved
I downloaded this app about 8 weeks ago, chnagend my plan 2 weeks in and am about to finish my 7 week plan. I agree with another post for this app stating that the exercises are somewhat repetitive as well as directed for specific area of your body ie. either lower or upper body.
I am yet to find an exercise for abs! I also do not like the count system where you have to click the next button after completion of the designated reps.
Having said that, I do like the exercise plan as it gives me something to look forward to and to keep me on track. I wish there was a version for an ipad for ease of use in my gym as we (my boyfriend and I) both exercise at the same time.
Also another issue I have with it is the fact that I keep gettig alerst that I have messages, which are usually summaries from each completed week, but they never clear. I have opened all of them on both of the devices I use but they are still there. Sync is super slow between the devices as well.
Loving the update
Don't like the newest version it keeps crashing within a few seconds of opening
I updated today so have only done 1 work out so far. I love the new set up with the instructional video playing before AND as you work out so that you have a few seconds to understand what's next and can check in as you go. There's also a new green bar that shows you how much time you have left for each activity. I also like the feature for checking in on how difficult you found it each time in order to gage your improvement. I look forward to trying out the workout plans because it's so much more customizable. You can input the equipment you have available, your current fitness level, and how much you want to workout each week and can adjust which days you will work out if needed (I found the lack of this feature in the previous version extremely irritating because not scheduled vary and if I missed one work out I couldn't just do it the next day).
I have tried many things in my life to become a regular exerciser. Generally, what would happen is I would start a really intense plan, do it for a while, then get burnt out on it and not exercise for months. Not healthy or what I wanted. Then came Nike Plus Training Club.
I've always said that I just want someone to tell me what to do and when regarding exercise. This app is that! I told it my goals, how much I wanted to exercise, etc and it formulated a plan for me.
I love that the exercises are accessible. It's not hard to do a high intensity exercise if it's only scheduled for 16 minutes! And I like that I can edit which day my workout is on in case something comes up, but I have to complete it within the week.
I just completed the 6 week "lean and fit" exercise plan. I am thin to begin with, but I lost a couple of stubborn pounds and am more visibly fit. Not only that, I feel stronger. Exercises that I struggled with at the beginning of the plan were manageable at the end.
Nike Plus Training Club is the app I've been looking for. I've tried so many things but this is the only one that I'll stick with. I'm excited to start my next plan!
