Still Broken in 3.0.5 Update! Seriously Nokia,Roll Back To Withings & Reinstate Core Functionality!
Seriously ! How can the core functionality of this app still be broken in the latest 3.0.5 updated even with all the feedback people have given through reviews and through twitter ? Healthkit sync is still broken and doesnt bring across the correct numbers anymore ! Aura still not fixed (even though the details say FULL AURA FUNCTIONALITY). Specifically Aura should be writing In Bed & Asleep data back to Apple Health, it only writes In Bed which means sleep analysis is inaccurate as it should be calculating In Bed - Awake = Asleep ! It worked in the WIthings app without any issue, Nokia takes over and its been a shambles since then. How hard is it for Nokia to admit they ruined this app with the new Nokia branded update and roll abck to the last Withings version and just change the name ! New layout and features can come later, as can branding, they shouldnt be introduced (as they were here) at the sake of core funcitonality being destroyed. At this point it looks like Nokia is pumping out new updates/revisions to the app just to reset the review/ratings numbers without actually fixing the underlying problems. If you havent updated, don't. Stick with the Withings version of this app until Nokia addresses ALL issues and reinstates core functionality for the app and associated products. Real shame that this seems to be how Nokia intends to treat customers !
Still a huge disappointment but 3.0.5 at least starts
While the previous versions didn't even start properly at least this fundamental problem seems to be fixed for my context now. Still I wish you would not have changed anything and I could get the previous version back from the App Store. I don't need cute little animations and pages of explanations for every parameter measured. Wikipedia tells me what Systole and Diastole is and how it's measured. It's in my way in an app that is supposed to measure blood pressure for example. On the other hand it seems that I can't get an overview for a freely chosen period of time anymore (week and month is all I can choose from). Measuring blood pressure once a week these graphs are basically useless. This feature was there before for years and now it's gone.
Version 3 of the Withings App is the perfect textbook example about destroying a brand reputation built over years with hard work in just minutes. Anyone responsible for this disaster should be replaced immediately to give others the chance to clean up the mess while users are still around (my wife deleted the app and got rid of her step tracker after what has happened)
Nokia update borked wired BP monitor
Having read many other reviews, I find I'm not alone in bemoaning what Nokia has done with their revision. I was perfectly satisfied with the BP-800 wired blood pressure cuff bought when it was a Withings company. Among many other destroyed or ruined features in the 'new' Nokia app is the fact that the cuff is no longer usable.
Nokia, if you read reviews, apologize for this debacle and roll things back until you have a chance to sort through, get to know your user base, and can introduce your branding without harming your base of existing Withings users. This experience has soured me on all things Nokia, for certain.
Addendum: Working through customer service, I was offered an 'exceptional exchange' of a wireless cuff, which does work with the app. You can also see that the devs reached out regarding my feedback. Kudos to Nokia for remedying this unfortunate consequence of their new app. There remain many challenges/limitations with their revised app. For now, if you have not updated your old Withings app., DON'T! Let them sort it out first.
