Customer Reviews

Love but...

I don't like the fact that when one of my favorite books/series of mine becomes a show or movie the covers get changed. It feels like a violation to look into your library and see books that you bought ages ago with new covers, not the way I purchased them. I enjoy the original artwork of my books and don't want to see the actors playing them in a show or movie on the cover. Most of my books I have read before they get on screen. Seeing my covers change makes me feel like I jumped on the bandwagon. I understand their may be some people who enjoy the new covers, I suggest giving us the option to go back and forth. Those of us who prefer the original covers can have them and those who want the new ones can have them. I love nook! I cant imagine going back to real books...and I used to be so against e-readers....but this one feature really does upset me and makes me consider going back to the old way. At least when I purchase a real book they don't change. The way I buy it is the way it stays. Please please please work on this. I would love to have the option of going back to my original covers :)

Still Not deleting titles from main menu once added to shelves

Why do we even post reviews? You don't do anything about them, even if other people post similar reviews. I own thousands of books and would like some kind of alphabet system to help me find them. I would like all of an author's books to be together. And I would like the books to disappear from the main menu when they have been shelved. If I only had a few books, it wouldn't matter, but I have over a thousand, and I can't organize them, if they stay on the main menu. I am not stupid. I know to look in folders if I need to find a book. The main menu is redundant, once you put the books in folders.

All books and documents should be registered as being in the Nook app, whether or not they were purchased through Barns and Noble. If you are willing to store the items there, then you should be willing to show that I own them in Nook if I do a search. I shouldn't have to scroll through each item to see if I own something.

Still have not found answers to the above. Also, would like everything to sync the same between iPad, iPhone, website, etc. They are not always in the same order and not everything seems to show up in all places. Nook still seems to be better than Kindle, so these improvements would make it great!

Love my nook!

Like some other reviewers, I've had my nook for quite some time. Since I read quite a bit, the nook has been a welcome alternative. I've worked in retail & college bookstores for over 30 years, and have quite a collection of hardcover books. Moving them has gotten tiresome, so I've donated and passed them on to family. The nook has made it easier to buy when I want, and what I want. I can shop the nook book store and can always find something to read. I still buy hard copies if it's history or a biography. I have the nook e-reader, and the nook app on my I Pad & I phone. When I travel, I don't have to take 2 or 3 devices with me. I admit that I was hesitant when it first launched, but I'm a firm believer that whatever format gets someone to read, then I'm all for it.

I have not had any of the issues that others have had. The option to sort by author, title, or recent makes it very easy to find what I want. Since I read constantly, sorting by recent works best for me. I would recommend the nook to anyone that asks.
