Nordstrom’s is THE ONLY STORE for ME!!
Started shopping there in California, over 33 years ago( before that Nordstrom’s was not in Ohio where I grew up). Once I had the Nordstrom experience; ie their impeccable customer service, incomparable Personal Shopper privilege which no one can compare with), their Amazing selection of Brands at your disposal, their genuine feeling of Shopper’s Paradise when you enter their doors...plus the cherry on top of this Amazing Nordstrom Sundae of a store... their incredible sales several times a year. But I never waited for a sake because I always CRAVED the Nordstrom experience. It’s addictive! Once you shop there.. that is IT! There’s no other store you can love as much. When I left Cally many many years later for career reasons, I knew I would always find a Nordstrom somewhere near me. Finally after retiring to Florida, Jax ie to be near new grandchildren & family, alas, they had no Nordies!!!
It was two states & a flight away. But finally Nordstrom’s brought their fabulosity to Jacksonville for all to know & love. I’m happy again. One sadness although.. a dear friend decades ago had gotten me the best little scarf proclaiming I was a Nordstrom gal. I loved that little neck scarf for fun times but in moving somehow it disappeared. I do miss my fashion moniker telling the world that I am Nordstrom gal ( a very proud Nordstrom shopper)!!

Feature Loss, Background App Support
Hello! I just wanted to leave a quick review of this Nordstrom iOS app as a whole. UI and UX wise this app is definitley on par with a shared and abrupt positive experience especially when going back and fourth between your website and the app on a daily basis as I do. There is however on main downfall of this app that often causes me to use your website instead. And I honestly think that here we are in 2018 and this should’ve been dealt with awhile ago. Background resuming.. Essentially all apps these days support this feature however whenever I leave the Nordstrom app and return my current search, view, anything is removed and the app restarts a fresh. This is incredibly annoying. I could be knee deep into a style exploration and I get a text message that forces me to leave the app. Once I do not thinking bam my search and what I was looking at is now gone. I get that inventory is constantly shifting and things need to be updating in the background but every other app out these days can manage this appropriately so there must be a way. I think if you really want this app to truly be world class as your shopping institution is as a whole this is something that needs immediate revisiting and support from your development team. I hope that this will at least go into consideration as it really is a heck of a feature loss at this point. Thanks for hearing me out!
Not Getting My Rewards Points
I have been having trouble receiving points for my purchases made using the Nordstrom iOS app. I called customer service w to sort it out, but felt that the representative didn’t try to understand what I was experiencing and assumed I was doing something wrong on my part. I explained to her that I had made multiple purchases USING THE NORDSTROM APP and I clearly stated that every time I made a purchase, I receive a message that clearly says “You’re earning Rewards points on this order”, however my points balance had not changed for several months. She seemed to go on script and regurgitate how the rewards system works. I’ve been shopping at Nordstrom for years. I know how it works. She also told me I had to put my phone number in the app before completing the purchase. Nowhere in the checkout process on the Nordstrom app are you requested to put in a phone number. I felt like she didn’t fully understand how the app works. She did end up helping add points for multiple purchases (nearly 900 missing points) but I don’t even know if I recouped them all (she couldn’t tell me) and I didn’t really get a permanent fix to my problem. Her solution to me was to make sure my points get added after an item has shipped. If not, call back and get them added. I do a ton of shopping on the Nordstrom app! This is very inconvenient and unfair for someone who spends a substantial amount of money with this company.
