Ratings and Reviews
As much as I enjoy going to Not Your Average Joe's, using this app to place a take an order is quite painful. Too much authentication is required--a login, a separate pin, and a select-a-picture-I'm-not-a-robot-game that does not work well. Biometrics are not supported, which in 2017 should replace all those steps. In addition rewards and coupons refuse to apply; and adding the tip is quite laborious since you have to push a small + button to increase by .25 increments instead of just being able to type $xx. And after all those steps you will then need to adjust your 30 minute order window because it took you 15 minutes just to create your order. Apps are supposed to make things easier... Right?
Today was not the day
Bad day at work. Not much in the fridge. Thought I’d finally place an order on my app. Got it all ordered, had compensated for our food allergies, put in a tip (which, BTW is a P. I. T. A. I’ll rate that a minus 5) and hit order. Nothing. Frozen solid. Backed it up and tried three times. Still nothing. Went home for leftovers. Yum?!
Could not pay
Despite the negative reviews of the app, I took a chance. I was disappointed with the Payment part of the app. (1) The app's attempt to use Apple Pay with my 1st credit card failed 3x, despite me confirming with the bank that my card is fine. (2) The app's use of Apple Pay did accept my 2nd card during check-in... but then the system couldn't find my unique check-in number at the end, so I could not pay electronically.
Bad experience overall... but we still love the restaurant.
Developers: please don't let your app's payment flaws negatively affect customers' opinions of the overall restaurant. I commend your vision, but the execution needs work.
