"It's ideal for planning out your day, Bullet Journal style. [...] the combination of scheduling, tagging, and (plain text, portable) notes in one place makes it a true productivity tool." - Brett Terpstra, MacStories

"If you love plain text notes, but hate that they have no way to integrate with your calendars and reminders, then you might just find this to be the perfect app." - Charlie Sorrel, Cult of Mac

What's New

Version 1.6.22

• NEW: Add arrow hotkeys to the mini calendar in the schedule dialog. So you don't need the mouse anymore to schedule todos!
• NEW: Add two new black themes (same as in iOS).
• FIXED: Don't copy titles which have no todos when scheduling.
• FIXED: Pasting text from outside apps like "LaunchBar" and "Paste" into NotePlan.
• FIXED: Backticks block formatting like italics or bold now, so it doesn't format text between code snippets with underscores for example accidently.
• FIXED: Scrolling slowly with the magic mouse or trackpad caused odd jumps.
• CHANGED: 'Schedule all tasks' shortcut to CMD+Option+A.

Super Useful

This is a fantastically useful tool! Eduard has built a really well-thought-out tool, which I use every day. I’ve tried other tools which combine todo and calendar, but hit is the first one I’ve kept adna used. Noteplan offers a powerful combination of the simplcity & functionaity. I can see & edit both calendar appointments and todos on a single screen. Super simple & efficient markdown let’s me make edits really quickly. And best of all, the todo items sync seamlessly with my IOS devices. When some work item occurs to you while you’re out & about - just enter it on the iPhone app and it’ll be there on the Mac when you start working again. I highly, highly recommend this app.

Great App and Great Service when you need it!!!

This app reminds me of the Bullet Journal that has been rather popular. There was a bug in the previous versions that Eduard of customer service traced down after an exchange of several emails. I really appreciate his efforts in working with me to debug this MacOS version. I did use the IOS version and was very pleased with the IOS version, but I rather use the Mac. The application is a good planner for your tasks. You can date each task if you want to. I’m thrilled that I can finally use the app on my Mac. I am using MacOS 10.9.5. A little behind in upgrading my OS.

This meets my needs completely

I use text files and markup to track my daily to-do list and my manual manipulation of todo’s takes me much time each morning to make sure I don’t lose tasks. I also take notes for the day in the same text file. I saw this application this weekend, and I was thrilled to see something like this available. I started using it at work on Monday, and quickly moved my workflow to it fully. This makes it extremely easy to manage my workday. VERY HELPFUL FOR ME!

The biggest feature I wish for is a menu item/keyboard command that would take all my undone items from the current day and mark them as scheduled to tomorrow so I don’t have to do this manually (although multiple selection does work to do this, my done/cancelled items are interspersed, and I would not want them carried forward.

Another little feature would be on the keyboard command to schedule, allow keyboard selection of tomorrow, so I don’t have to drop to mouse every time that dialog pops up.
