Maps Problem For Me, Otherwise Helpful

I am using my iPhone 6+, updated on iTunes as of 5 mins ago. The Boston street map never displays correctly for me, since I assume it should show the streets. All I see is a totally black background with the plotted Freedom Trail Sites markers displayed. Yes, I can tap on the markers to display the site details, but I was hoping to use the street map also. So we are forced to carry paper maps instead.

The Sites are described, but it is a very brief overview for each. If that is all this app was intended to provide, so be it, but how about adding some links to other websites with more details?

While typing this review, I tapped on the lowest right site marker, labeled ‘Dorchester Heights’. I tapped on this, but no details showed up. So I used the Search tool to look up Dorchester Heights. Two detail lines showed up, so I tapped on it to show more…and the app crashed.

These apps by the National Park Service are definitely the way of the future, but this one appears to need more work.

I'm over the political correctness!! So many nationalities, colors and sexes fought and gave their lives to give US the freedom we all take so much for granted. Disgusting how this app focuses so much attention to some but not all (ex Bunker Hill ). When are we as AMERICANS going to let go of the previous family heritage ( Italian American, African America, Irish American, Asian American, Latin American) I'm Native American/ Irish Decent and I have NEVER called myself "Irish / Native American". I have had family who have fought, died, sacrificed, forced off of land, cheap labor and were segregated for this great country yet we constantly separate ourselves. When is enough, enough? You want equality yet constantly separate. Fix it

I paid $3 for a paper map?!?!

This app has everything you need to explore the Freedom Trail in Boston and it is free! The map we bought for $3 before I found this has half the information. Nice work NPS!
