About The Park.
In 1929, the original Grand Teton National Park only protected the Teton Range and the valley’s piedmont lakes. In 1950, the park expanded to include the valley floor - preserving the park's spectacular views. Today, the jagged peaks and crystalline lakes are home to grizzly bears, wolves, moose, and herds of bison and elk.
Download the app before you arrive. Cell service and Wi-Fi are limited.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
What's New in Version 2.2.3
Resolved issue with rare crash during on-boarding.
I just downloaded the app, and even all the content to use offline. However, the home page buttons are blank. You can click on them and they will open another page, such as “Things to see.” However, you can’t tell what a button goes to, because they are all blank.
I went to the maps and was going to download the maps for offline use. I found that you can download a couple maps for free. Otherwise you must subscribe to download them and use for a limited time period. The park map with icons for various attractions didn’t work. Clicking on the map icons did nothing, even after content was downloaded.
With these limitations, I don’t find the app as useful as it should be.
