From Best to Worst

The American Rifleman magazine in the app used to be about the best digital magazine available. Sound, video, and special features were all top notch. The magazine remembered where you left off reading etc. It was so good I changed over to a digital only subscription to save the NRA money.

Everything has changed for the worse. Much worse. Now the app just links to a lame PDF of the magazine. All the good stuff is gone. What a disappointment! I've requested a switch back to the paper magazine. This is a shame for both members and the NRA.

I hope the NRA reconsiders this and goes back to the wonderful digital magazine we used to have.

Out of touch

This app is now just a link to PDFs on-line. It's totally useless. I contacted the NRA's publication department and in their ultimate wisdom they felt no one uses the app and it is being discontinued and replaced with these links to on-line PDFs. Funny thing, they wrote me and said it cost too much to produce the electronic version, yet they spend money to send me a monthly bill for 6 to 9 months before my membership expires. Now I'll just toss the reminders in the trash. Out of touch.

App review

I like it, and glad the mags are available online. One thing: Do make it so you can pinch in and out on the pages, so we can zoom in on some of the smaller print. Thanks again NRA. JOE
