What's New in Version 2.3.3
Enhanced and re-organized notification-related settings on the Settings screen.
Generally pretty good, but ...
... a few complaints:
1) Persistently re-sets itself to "filtering" single tweets, as opposed to the 2+ setting I configured. Why it cannot remember this setting I don't know — seems a pretty essential function of the app itself.
2) Re-loads itself unnecessarily (e.g., when returning to the app after following a link) and in so doing "loses" stories that I saw in the queue but hadn't gotten to yet. Again, not sure why that's considered useful / desirable
3) Adds new stories out of sequence — or perhaps more accurately, exactly in sequence such that you can't tell which stories were added when. Thus, a story from 2 days ago that is re-tweeted enough times to be added to the queue gets added 2 days ago, such that you have to scroll down among the stories you read 2 days ago to find / read it. If you don't scroll back through all of those old (read) stories, you won't see it — wouldn't it make sense to add it at the top of the queue with the existing NON-read stories ...?
Nuzzel is frickin' awesome!
This app does one thing, and it does it really well. It finds the best new links from your facebook and twitter feeds, and let's you browse them. I use it whenever I'm stuck waiting somewhere for a few minutes. My friends share a lot of links on facebook, but finding it can be hard because they get lost amid the status updates and baby pictures. Great simple solution!
Needs option to block accounts/keywords
I would love to be able to suppress/block headlines with keywords (like "trump") and to be able to block accounts in the "friends of friends" feed from showing up (for example, brands like Financial Times have multiple accounts that retweet their own stories to get more views and tend to dominate this feed).
