Visiting the Big Apple? Long time New Yorker on an errand to an unfamiliar part of town?
This simple, handy, and FREE app lets you scroll around a detailed map of the New York City subway system, including all five boroughs. That's it. The map is saved on your device, so you do not need an Internet connection to view it.
It's not nearly as fancy as some of the paid subway map apps out there, but it's free, fast-loading and very convenient when you are stuck underground with no reception on an unfamiliar line and can't or don't want to make your way over to the map seat to check which stop your connection is at.
Enjoy, and please don't complain that it doesn't make toast - it's just a map.

What's New in Version 2.0
- Updated subway map
- Now supports iPad & iPhone 5
- New icon
Please let us revert to original!
The update stinks! What happened to the zoom!?? Yes, it's just a map, but it was a fine one. Perfect. The first app I ever added to a phone and never updated and totally loved. Foolishly, didn't read the (similar) scathing reviews of this update before grabbing it. PLEASE bring back the zoom, or let us revert back to the original app!!
It stinks how developers and companies decide for us how we should view something, and take away other options. Individual choices at the mercy of developers. Stinks. Bring back my app!!!
Still good but no more zoom!!!???
Still love this app it's now clearer and more legible in v2.0 but removing the zoom in and out was a mistake. Makes for cumbersome navigation. Need to re introduce it allow for super zoom too.
Also why the ads? If so introduce a paid version can't stand apps :( not the only one I assume based on recent reviews.
Had this app for years, literally. Always a great, simple reference when my commute went off-route, etc. Although the update improved the map's aesthetic, it sharply reduced its usability. Not being able to zoom in and out is particularly annoying. Deleted app today, and found an alternative.
