Needs 12.9" iPad Pro support

We are now well past the 6-month mark following the release of the 12.9" inch iPad Pro and still no love. I've contacted support and they have no timetable for adding native support for the screen. It may be a niche model, I realize, but it also appeals to the type of customer I would imagine a forward-thinking digital pioneer media company might wish to appeal to.

But perhaps there's comfort in numbers... The WSJ app also fails on this front still.

I'm obvisouly not a developer, but is screen size flexibility as hard as these leading media companies would have you believe with the slow pace of development? Looks like all their resouces may be focused on VR, which is fun for a few minutes, but is of limited utility at this point in time.

Barely a Replacement for a Rain Soaked Paper

As a long time reader of the NYT and long time user of its online access to the content I'm a little surprised by how poorly the app functions and delivers content.

Simple things like coping 1 word of text prove to be nearly impossible because the app detects the selection as scrolling. For an app presenting highly detailed content as in the NYT this short coming is nearly inexcusable. It shouldn't come as a surprise to the NYT that it's content will send many readers to reference apps. Why not provide links to some well recognized reference apps such as google earth and Wikipedia?

In addition, presentation of sections. Why not give us the book reviews in a format comparable to the paper version the week it is provided?

Web Access does not work

I have been a loyal subscriber to this app for a few years. Paying a subscription supposedly allows you free web access to the NYTimes. I had been getting this for a few years. However, all of the sudden, this stopped inexplicably. When I contacted the NY Times, they claimed that Apple did not renew my subscription even though I'm fully paid and the app itself works fine (so far). When I contacted Apple, they claimed that their responsibility is only with the app and that the NY Times is at fault for the lack of web access. Bottom line - this subscription is buggy and unreliable and neither Apple nor NY Times will provide support for any problems therewith. Stay away.
