Solid octoprint viewing app with great interface

I got this one and Nautilus to try for remote viewing of my prints via octoprint. I really like the interface and the Apple Watch app! Much prettier UI and the fact that it works in portrait mode (which is the way I naturally hold my phone in 95% of the time) is why I use it more.

The push notifications did stop coming in after the first few days- I did like seeing the finished screenshot pop up on my watch. Not a huge deal to me because Nautilus' push notifications still work.

When I have my iPad on I use nautilus as it defaults to landscape only and that's how I hold it naturally.

Anyway keep up the good work and fix the notification bug! Having a landscape option plus maybe a little more control of the printer would be beneficial for users, but I use a 3.5" TFT mounted to my printer for direct control when I am in front of the printer.

Developer Response

Thanks for the good words :)
The quickest way to get notifications working again is to reinstall the app.
Also please bear in mind that the server address you enter should be visible outside of your network for notifications to work.

Great app, Couple of tweaks I’d like to see

The app runs great, looks very clean and actually shows the temp for my left hotend (which Is the one I use primarily). The UI is clean and no-nonsense, and being able to use it on my watch is perfect.

I have yet to try the push notifications, but I’m a compulsive checker anyway.

What I would like to see in future revisions of the app are:
1. Better Support for folders. Most of my files are 3 folders deep in the file system (my first layer of files is the user, second layer is the genre of the project, 3rd is the specific project, and the 4th is the individual files). Presently All I can do in the app is see the next layer of folders.

2. A complication in the phone app would be great so that I can check on the general status of my print at a glance from the watch.

unhappy, please avoid

Description is miss leading, you can't control the printhead on this app or monitor the temperatures you can only view (or as I suspect now the program is messed up, beware it may damage your printer) Today I turn on the app to view my print (20 hours in) and my hotbed temp shot up from 60 to 100 uncontrolled. I don't know why or how but since your app says you can control things that just aren't there I no longer trust it. This is the only change to my system. I've only had this app for 1 day. The free version did have control but the camera view wasn't as stable. I suspect my print failed due to this app and hope I have no printer damage.
