Ratings and Reviews
Not what I was expecting after Abe’s Oddysee
I LOVED the previous game of the series, Abe’s Oddysee, when I was a kid and I remembered as a serious game, with a very dark or at least mysterious message and graphics that had me captivated!! It was pretty much the “Trine” of the 90’s and when I saw this I mistakenly though it was Abe’s Oddysee! When I realized it wasn’t I didn’t mind at all to try a new game of the series. It’s not a bad game I guess but NOTHING to do with the dark and intriguing tone of the previous one! This game felt like for kids, it was almost like a Mickey Mouse game or some Disney game, getting mushrooms to get energy and all that stuff! If you like the series then try it out you might really like it. I just felt it was very childish-oriented instead of the awesome and beautiful views of Abe’s Oddysee.
Anyway ENJOY IT!
Back to the Fun!
I feel like I drove a Mandorian to 80 MPH and traveled back to the 90's for this game. I forgot that 9/11 ever happend for the whole first 2 hrs duration of playing this game... Good times, good times...
The game is fun, too. For those who have not played in the 90s. It is like Supermario 3D World but with a satirical theme. I love the story, love the funny characters, and as other have said, the control is a little odd, but hey, it is Odd World, what did you expect? LOL
If you connect an Xbox 360 or One controller on the mac with some drivers available online, then you get the Original Xbox experience with increased graphics.
Works for me!
No complaints as of yet!
If you’ve played Stranger’s Wrath, the controls are basically the same. You can adjust the controls if necessary and plays well. I’ve always loved this game and just being able to play it on my mac/iphone is awesome. I’m a person of simple pleasures so honestly, just the fact that I’m able to play it on my mac is great. No lag, no crashing (as of yet) and it’s just a fun, nostalgic game to play on the road (or when you’re bored in class lol).
