Great game.

One of the best and most inventive games in the store. There needs to be more like it as the bar is generally pretty low in the App Store game wise. The only issue I have (I have played it through to the credits several times) is the difficulty of the timed run in Sekto's dam. There are a couple spots that slow or stop your run entirely in an unfair way. The problematic one is the closing door by the dual blasters.. at least 80% of the time the door is open more than wide enough to pass through easily, not even touching the stranger, but you can't go through. Sure stop and hit the button and reopen the door but your timed run is over at that point and you aren't even close to the end. The precision of the controls, which are problematic no matter what the settings throughout the game, is normally easily manageable due to being able to generalize for the most part. This run is where the moving thumb pad's lack of precision really breaks down and makes it too challenging.. and I love challenges. The game looked much more controlled with a controller on a deck.. here, on the run, the joy of perfecting technique is lost to random control behaviors. Also, pretty sure the timer on the run is faster than real seconds. This was a problem with the original game and it seems to persist in this version.

A great port to a close to perfection console game

If you're the least bit interested, even just a tiny bit, get this game. 3$ is a bargain for this amazing game. If you're worried about controls, don't be as it lets you set the layouts of buttons and change even the visual performance if things start getting too pretty for your phone or iPad, which it will eventually but not too hard on tool your using. As for the gameplay, the description for the game about sums it up and from there it's hunting outlaws mission to mission, varied environments keep everything fresh and you'll be upgrading and bagging bounties like a pro in no time. One other thing worth mentioning, I've played this on PS3 and the original Xbox years ago, but found each time with a controller I played the game way too fast paced to appreciate the slower pace you can take in this game being stealthy, but thanks to playing this on my phone, I naturally started playing a slower pace and using all the stealth I could, so far it's dealt very rewarding. Though I honestly thought the slowing of pace thanks to touch controls would make things worse, it definitely does not in the end, because with this slowness to start you'll be able to handle the faster parts later when you have the controls down so well.
8/10 port to a 9/10 game.

Fantastic and ODD

Hey, Stranger! Been a fan since the old Abe games (when are you porting them and MUNCH to a touchscreen??), and this game is features some of the best plot twists - taking a fun western/steampunk setting and bringing in real emotion and high level action. It's a fun combination of open world exploring, bad guy punching, talking to chicken people and octopus men and adding a bunch of first person shooter where you fire little animals from your crossbow (like sniper wasps, exploding bats and tribbles that bite). The voice acting is fun and crude, and the action gets intense, with a huge midpoint twist. The only concern would be that the game gets really tough (even on on easy) but you can look up solutions online. But there's not really anything like this game on iOS. I can't believe how emotionally involving the game gets - and the port from Xbox is excellent on an iPhone 6 and above. EXCELLENT! Please bring all the odd world titles back from the steef graveyard so new generations can enjoy them. A great deal of a game.
