Love the app, but closes a lot & retailers advertise

I do love this app, but have a few issues with it. It's a really great way to buy & sell from people in your community. I would've rated it at 5 stars, but the app continually closes (update needed to fix the bug?) & retailers utilize it for selfish advertising. Both issues can be an annoyance. Mainly, my biggest complaint is that retailers place items for $0-low amounts & when you think you might be interested the description states that the item was purchased or is no longer/ never available for sale. Not only is this annoying, but then they state their spiel about their services/products. While I understand this is a great way to advertise, at the very least the retailer could offer (for purchase) the product(s) pictured. :/ Seems almost like a bait & switch to get people to their site. If retailers/businesses are going to be allowed to post, then they should have to sell whatever item you viewed in your search AND for the $0.00 - very low price they priced it at. This doesn't seem fair, and quite frankly they are taking up space for the sellers who may not get their items viewed because of this nonsense.

Very useful! Easy to use! And free!

Everything about it is great! (Aside from one thing which I will get to) You can find literally ANYTHING on here. So fast to find the most random items. I also love how user friendly it is. So easy to use. Even for grandma. It has just the right amount of information but not too much to be overwhelming. I like that you can find literally anything. Even small things that you don't want to buy new but also don't want to go from one thrift store to the next trying to find. For instance...I bought a like new ironing board on here for $5. I even like the chime your phone makes when they send you a notification that someone is interested in one of your products or someone who is replying to your interest. Ok...so the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they have an option to pay with Apple Pay or your debit/credit card. Seems convenient but what they fail to tell you until AFTER someone purchases your item is they take 9%. Kind of annoying but only complaint. Hope this helps!

I wanted an alternative to Craigslist, but this isn't it

I am frustrated and fed up with flakes and other awful people on Craigslist, so I figured I'd give Offer Up a try.
My first go at it didn't work at ask because they simply blocked my home VPN IP address, with no way around it... C'mon, people use VPNs, secure your service and get on!
Second problem after connecting via cellular data was the app got stuck-I couldn't go to the next screen, and when I went back a screen, it lost all the information I had put in for an item I was trying to list. The bugginess of the app continues un-abated with new versions crashing regularly, and showing so much unrelated stuff, without the ability to filter it down to get rid of there junk posts.
And finally, the problem elephant in the room... the people I've had interact with me on offer up are even worse than on Craigslist. I got so many insulting offers that I eventually just archived (you can't delete your data (or do they own it now?) my item, and deleted the app.
Great idea, but way too many problems with the app, and way way too many problems with the users.
