Good game ruined
I loved playing the first Legends game, and was glad to see a second one. The gameplay and graphics were even better than the first one, but had certain elements that absolutely ruin it.
First, is all the ads. Can't play for 3 seconds without seeing a 30 second ad play. (only skippable sometimes) They are so annoying, that I would have to play with airplane mode on to not see them. Secondly, is the energy/fuel system. Many mobile games have this, and I absolutely despise it. You can play/retry around 10 tracks before you run out of fuel. When out of fuel, you can't play any more until you wait 30 minutes or so for fuel to replenish. You can watch a 30 second ad for a slim amount of fuel which is not worth doing at all. You can't have long play sessions unless you want to play ads. I wanted to be able to play a game during a long car ride, but this horrendous energy system prevents that.
Overall, these greedy game designers added in annoying elements to the game that ruin the fun, unless you watch a billion ads or pay to remove them, which I am not going to do. I don't think I'll even finish the game because of the frustration of figuring out a level, then not being able to retry because I'm out of fuel. Hopefully you learn from your mistakes and if you make a new game that is better, you will not be viewed as a money grabbing game designer.
Super graphics but way too difficult
In all versions there are tough courses and when you buy the full game you get many more courses and vehicles to choose from. BUT I IFTEN STOP PLAYING WHEN THE COURSES ARE RIDICULOUS. Even the “warm-ups” have nearly impossible hazards with strict time limits? Makes me wonder if I should have saved my money.
For a small fee you can unlock courses and vehicles. I’ve done this for a total of $3.98. Unlimited fuel too. I have mixed feelings. It’s very good with mixed environments and I’m always trying to improve my times when I succeed. But the lava jumps are really odd and most courses have too many hazards.
My advice is to start at the beginning, try different vehicles, and modify them if you wish. I think it’s a great game but as I say again and again many courses are just too tough. Please raise the time limits for one thing. The courses don’t approach reality with hills and valleys and ramps and nitro blasts. I’d prefer to keep it more real. But that’s me.
Such a shame.
A game this good should not have to play 30 second ads 24/7. A game this good should not have an incentive to buy gas for a car within a game. A game this good should not force you to watch full 30 second ads, for 15 minutes, just to have 5 extra runs of gas after you initially ran out once.
This game could be so great.
But the developers are so focused on getting that ad revenue that after a good 5 minutes of play time my choices come down to buy gas, buy extra vehicles, or watch ads. You can’t play the game for an extended amount of time anyway. This game has so many obstacles that you’ll likely restart each level once or twice due to lava alone, and that’s on easy levels. Which of course takes us back to the gas situation.
I was so excited and I just finished the game.
In the last game after I finished I genuinely wanted to go back and get 3 stars on every level.
I will not do that here.
I finished the game, I’m not that pleased. The overall experience would’ve been so much more fun if they’d take away only the gas, and limit the ads.
