HOW IT WORKS
We ask you questions to get to know who you really are. The better we understand you, the better we can match you with people you’ll click with.
Your profile lets your individuality shine through. Whether you’re a dog lover, foodie, or zen master (or all three!), here’s where you can show it off.
DoubleTake combines the ease of the swipe with the essential depth a rich profile provides. In DoubleTake, you learn more about potential matches right from the start.
When you see someone you like, send them a message! It’s always free to message, and there’s no worrying about who has to message whom first.
Go on dates! Whether you’re looking for the one (or not), OkCupid helps you find more authentic connections along the way.

What's New in Version 8.3.1
Our updated look — with brand-new illustrations and a new typography — conveys the chaotic mess that dating really is in a fun, relatable way.
Solid attempt, but nothing amazing
For the most part, the app is pretty functional. Swiping through to find matches works fine, it's searching features work alright, and it's fairly simple to use.
I've been an on and off paid user for a while. The pay wall doesn't provide many other things of note than just knowing who's liked you.
The main problem with the app is messaging. Sometimes it works fine which makes sense, because I've been using a messenger application since AIM was around. However, most of the time messaging is clunky or doesn't even work. At least once a day it'll say I received a message but it won't load the actual message for about 20 minutes. Now I don't message often so I can't say how frequent it happens, but if it basically happens every time I message, then it can't be just me
Not user-friendly anymore
First off, yes, the app icon is hideous. Terrible design, and that feel extends to the iconography in the app itself.
What really disappoints me is that the swiping feature doesn't seem to respect my filters at all. I get people well outside my age range who live hundreds of miles away. There seem to be lots of false positives and bad results, and the number of scammers and fake profiles seems to have increased dramatically. It's really telling that I get completely different people in the swiping section than I do in the search section, even when I disable all filters in the search. This really causes me to doubt the validity of most of the profiles I see and wonder just how many of them are fake...and ask why they only show up in swiping.
I fundamentally don't trust the app anymore, and that's a huge disappointment.
Still getting the hang of it
Was on the app about 8 months ago and there have been some changes so I'm still figuring it all out. I don't like that it tells someone every time you look at their profile bc it makes you look like a creeper when you go back multiple times to read more - for example, when you're messaging with someone and you want to read more of their profile, you have to keep switching between the two screens, and it tells them every time (in banner form) that you're viewing their profile again. The new swipe feature seems to be good. The questions are hilarious as usual.
