What's New in Version 1.2
> Artists/Albums with only two letters are now supported
This sounds like a good idea, however the user interface is amongst the worst I have ever used. I could go on for a very long time about the plethora of ridiculous design mistakes but here's just a few. To adjust volume requires going to a special screen which is usually two moves away. Playlists only list the track title, not the artist or album, and they do not warn you of duplicate entries. Album cover art is often absurdly incorrect. You can shuffle a playlist or an album but not an artist. Editing any information requires going to a Website that cannot be viewed on an iPad as it requires Firefox. The latest update corrected one issue - it now recognizes album titles that consist of two letters - I suspect this was not high on any users lists of frustrations with what is a simply awful piece of software.
Correction it is not amongst the worst user interfaces I have used it is the worst.
The only saving grace of the Olive system is the sound quality.
This should've been a great app for a great music server. Unfortunately it has a lot of crashes. I cannot go to Albums without crashing. Please do an update so we can enjoy our Olive with a goos UI through our iPhones ans iPads!!!
Disappointing app for disappointing equipment
We have had a variety of Olive equipment and though it can be great, it has always been unreliable. This app follows suit! Well intentioned but crashes constantly. I'm not even sure this company is still in operation as impossible to get any replies from them. Give this and the equipment a miss
