I was hitching a ride anywhere, when this VW microbus stops, and a very cool dude asks..where you headed, man? Anywhere you go,I will go,
We are heading to a rock festival, wonderful, never been to one,as I am from south Africa, where everything was banned
Hardly settled in my seat, when someone passed me my 1st joint, amazing experience...amazing people and then the Woodstock experience....lot of it a blurr,
But one should understand the impact on a very naive 17 year old ,from a very repressed south Africa at the time....one of my great educational experiences,no formal education could have expanded my mind, and opened my eyes
Woodstock will always be a highlight memory
So this app is an awesome reminder
This app exemplifies everything that an iPad application can (and should) be! It's incredibly easy to navigate and use, very intuitive, has high quality photos, fonts and graphics, and is beautifully constructed. You can tell the developers really both did their homework, and truly care about not only getting an app into the store, but are really in touch with what an app could and should be. Not only do I love the era and the whole experience surrounding the Woodstock experience, going through this app takes me back to that incredible time of love, sex, drugs and (most of all) Rock n Roll.
Buy it - you won't be disappointed!
Very few Woodstock performance videos
Though I agree that this app is well thought out and nicely constructed - I should have known that actual Woodstock performance videos would be limited. For someone who was only 16 at the time and wanted to be there - I was hoping this app would focus mostly on the performances and give me a better feel for what was seen and heard that weekend. I'm sure there are copyright issues :( so just be wary of what you are expecting.
