Incredible value, universal app completely redesigned for iOS7!! Buy once ran on both iPhone and iPad.
We believe Open Flow Pro will save you time and increase your productivity.
Quickly calculate the quantities you need. Respond quickly and with confidence when asked questions about your project in meetings. Designed by engineers, for engineers.
OpenFlow Pro is a simple intuitive application for calculating flows, velocities and other hydraulic properties of open channels, orifices, weirs, and flues. It support several open channel and weir cross-sections including circular, trapezoidal, rectangular and triangular sections. Several flume calculators are also included. Calculators included extended results in addition to the primary variable that you solve for. Now includes a reference section with constants and coefficients.
1. Provides results in both ENGLISH and METRIC UNITS!
2. Includes Open Channel calculator
3. Includes an ORIFICE calculator
4. Includes a WEIR calculator
5. Includes a FLUME calculator
6. Comprehensive look up table of over 70 manning's n-values for various materials in various conditions, and orifice coefficients
7. Shows formatted equations that are used in most of the calculations
Completely re-designed for IOS 7
Added a flume calculator and an entire reference section with coefficients, manning's n values and more.
Ratings and Reviews
Nice First Effort, But . . .
Nice first effort, but would be more useful for design purposes if you could solve for any of the channel variables. Also, add the ability to create irregular cross sections and the ability to scroll up (or down) the variable input screens when the keyboard is up so that you can access hidden variable fields.
Good app, great idea, needs tweaking
Need to add a pull down menu to select Manning's n from the table, need to be able to select the units for input (inches and mm), need to be able to solve for any of the given variables. Will be very handy once these issues are addressed. No crashing problems on my 3GS.
App calculates incorrectly.
The calculation for orifice discharge is not correct. The app uses the height from the invert of the orifice rather than the center point. This makes the discharge calculation incorrect. I emailed AppsAndCode about this issue weeks ago, but they have not corrected the problem.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
