Ratings and Reviews
So necessary but I wish it was better
Openfolio potentially offers a really helpful service, but the numbers are all over the place. One day I've done better in the past year than the top 25% of investors (who are poorly defined since they don't win every day), the next I'm in last place of the four metrics. How can it swing that much? Note this has been happening for literally a year, not just the past few days. I don't trust their calculations.
The app gets wrong much more then it gets right. Ugly interface, unreliable connectivity to financial accounts, mysterious caching that is stuck in the past. I only keep it to compare my returns to peers, but even that function is underdeveloped. And they can't even get the simple arithmetic right. My average return on portfolio over 3 months or year to day is all over the place from one day to another and not even close to the actual numbers that I can easily verify in 5 minutes.
This app has tremendous potential keep adding more support for accounts. I’d say this can be more popular than personal capital. Please add support for DCU bank and M1 Finance brokerage account !!!!! :) best wishes. Keep squashing those bugs!!!!
