Fascinating way to connect to the Internet!

Wish I knew about VPN a long time ago- but the more I use it, the more I have to have it! It's my understanding that "openvpn" is the most secure protocol out there; I've tried IPSec, for example and it's good, of course. I just want to be able to use VPN while using public wifi at the local coffee shop. Been using it since the start of the Rio Olympic Games to watch LIVE BROADCASTS. I hate tape delay! What's the point of having satellite or internet if you can't see something LIVE (except nauseously having to have a cable/satellite subscription and logging in). I've been experimenting with Speedtest to check out results- some speeds are actually respectable considering you're "bouncing" from around the world as compared to just a local bounce/ping. Anyhow, this is fascinating stuff, really "opens up" the Internet!

Not rocket science->READ

I've used this with three different VPN providers and have had no issues. If you're having trouble, either go to the OpenVPN help page on the Internet or contact your PAID provider. Nothing is free -> if you're using a free VPN provider I hope you know they're not only logging and tracking your data but also more than likely selling your information to third parties in order to pay for their servers. Do some reading or use one of the glitchy "ready to use" apps that use IPSEC. Don't blame the developers because you cannot understand how to configure an openvpn file r are too cheap to pay for legitimate VPN service with support.

Works flawlessly

I use this to access our customer's devices on the go. I like the option to import the .ovpn file with the embedded certificates directly from an S/MIME encrypted email message.

The option to pause/resume VPN when locking/unlocking the device works well and saves power. If you prefer an "always on" persistent VPN connection, then activate the options "Seamless Tunnel" (iOS 8+) and "Layer 2 Reachability". I have noticed that when I activate both options the VPN persists even when my iPhone 4s is locked and almost out of cellular coverage in my pocket. I'm totally satisfied with this client.
