It and Optimum itself are hopeless!

Actually, I was initially surprised at how good it seemed. But it had some issues, such as freezing at crucial moments in a movie and changing channels often doesn't work the first, second, or even tenth time.
Update: the app remains hopelessly quirky. Watch a movie on it and it will almost assuredly freeze at a crucial moment. Something called a P2 error happens constantly and prevents any effort at scrolling through channels. It simply can't be done. If I could ask the developers to do just one thing, it is to fix the P2 problem, whatever that is.
Incidentally, why do we have to talk like robots or R2d2. What the hell is a P2problem? Can’t they explain it in plain English!
Of course not.
OK, a new issue which may suggest we should rethink using Optimum as our cable provider at all. It just dropped Starz from its line up with no explanation as to why (it had been out maneuvered by Verizon, the far stronger company) and no reduction in price for the loss of service you paid for. I mean, can’t we get a cable company with standards and skills of some kind.

Piece of junk

This has to be worst app ever. It freezes repeatedly. I watch a lot of baseball and I'm lucky if I can get a half hour without the picture freezing or the app crashing completely. Of course it usually happens at a crucial time in the game. We subscribe to the entire Optimum package and we updated our router and service last year. There is no improvement in the app's reception so we can't blame the wifi. It's just a really bad product. It's been happening for several years now. Why can't the engineers at Optimum correct this? Get rid of this app and create a totally new and better one. My true rating for this piece of crap is 0 but I couldn't submit the review without giving at least a 1. But I do so reluctantly.

This app is terrible

Larev-love this app

You would think by now they would have the issue of the stream freezing up resolved - it is impossible to watch a show all the way through without having to restart the app. The search is terrible. The details that come with the shows is terrible. Also, why isn't the number pad available when the video is minimized and the guide is showing. And while we are talking about the number pad, it is so sensitive that you can't type in more than one number before it signals a channel change. Finally, why is there no volume button in this app. Honestly, the TV viewing experience isn't much better so I am in the process of switching to Fios.
