What's New in Version 3.1.0
Oracle Fusion Expenses now enables Oracle Internet Expenses users to download corporate card transactions to their mobile devices, update them, and submit them in their expense reports. Oracle Internet Expenses users can also enter additional information in expense reports configured through descriptive flex fields.
Ok, but not mature enough
The app is okay, but when it actually gets down to integrating with your ERP app, there are too many limitations. It is a potential 'supplemental' tool to Oracle's online iExpense tool, but the cool features the app has don't seem to flow through to the ERP, so the benefit is completely lost. For instance, it integrates with your calendar so that you can bring in names from a calendar invite or your exchange contacts, but then they don't flow through to the actual submitted expense report. If there is an audit requirement for that and the expense audit is done from within the ERP system, then you're non-compliant. Also, the syncing between app and ERP is too limited and one-sided. Hopefully Oracle will invest in further improvements. Until then, I don't see our company considering this app any further.
The app does have cool features to track expenses, but it’s not able to replace desktop version of Oracle iExpenses. Would be nice to see daily Sync option and also sync back expense report statuses or expense reports entered on desktop into the app. Would be nice to see it better integrated with R12 in terms of policies, receipts requirements etc.
