Description

Out There Chronicles is an interactive graphic novel based on the science fiction universe of Out There, the acclaimed, multi-award-winning space exploration game.

After a slumber of a million years, you wake up on America, a planet colonized by humans who fled planet Earth. In your quest to find your people, you’ll set off on a galactic adventure where you’ll meet a host of colorful characters and visit unimaginable locations.

Out There Chronicles is a unique adventure set several million years before Out There. Where do the Arks come from? What are the Cubes? Fans of the original game will find answers to some questions, but others will remain a mystery.
You’ll also meet various alien races and get the opportunity to learn more about their people… If you can master their language, of course.

In this universe that is so far from your own in distance and in time, a sharp mind and an instinct for survival are your only weapons. Friendships can be forged and ancient rivalries re-emerge through your encounters with almost-human and less-human races. Will you be able to distinguish friend from foe?
As in the original game, a single human is unable to face the forces of the universe alone. Achieve your goals by exercising diplomacy when needed, and seizing opportunities when they present themselves.

Written by FibreTigre, author of the original game, Out There Chronicles offers an epic story that will delight science fiction fans in search of new experiences.
Brilliantly illustrated by top French SF artist, Benjamin Carré, and equipped with a simple interface, Out There Chronicles will take you on a journey of adventure, even if you’ve never played a video game before.

Interesting story, not anti-Christian

FutureTechie

The story is very intriguing and filled with puzzles to solve to ensure survival and move forward. Another review claimed it was anti-Christian, but I do not see that. The initial civilization the protagonist encounters has lost most of their knowledge of Earth, and their version of religion is based on random symbols of Christianity that they happened to have around but they do not even know what the Bible is. Also, if you persist in the story and download episode 2 you will find that it includes positive Christian metaphors in the stories and dreams. With science fiction it’s always best to read it through deeply and consider the possibilities without making a snap judgement based on what’s on the surface.

Great. Can't wait for the next!

Rage is on

I loved it. It gave a few more explanations to things I didn't know before.

---------Spoilers Warning!--------------------

I loved how we finally know how the giant ships came to be. But then again...why did we find one in Omega that was destroyed? And I was happy to learn about the crystal ship. Hopefully more gaps will be filled in future episodes. Can't wait for more. I couldn't ask for more from this game. My only wish it that we get to know when the next comes out. Its really killing me!

Shouldn't have bought the bundle

Self-improvement junkie

I had heard of Out There omega and just impulsively bought the bundle in th App Store, but after giving this game a solid shot, I should have stuck to just Out There Omega.

This interactive short story was not for me. I could not maintain a suspension of disbelief. I really liked Out There Omega and played it for hours and will probably play it more, but I doubt I'll work my way through Chronicles again. I hope the studio works on titles like Omega as opposed to Chronicles in the future.
