Lots of Nonogram Fun, with Great UI
I was looking for a fun nonogram puzzle game and I've found it in Paint It Back. In the game, the puzzles correspond to pictures (often humorous ones). There are 3 difficulty levels for most puzzles (all the hardest ones have options for lower difficulty). The UI allows for easy switching between checking and filling in squares and also tells you when a row/column is "full", without immediately telling you when you've made a mistake. The game comes with up to 6 profiles, so multiple persons can each have a go, without ruining anyone else's experience. I tried two other nonogram games for iPhone before this and this is my favourite so far by a mile.
A Perfect Puzzler
This has been my favorite mobile game since it was first released. The picross-style logic puzzle mechanics are easy to learn but tough to master, reminiscent of Minesweeper and Sudoku. Two qualities set Paint It Back apart from similar games: rock solid mechanics and a ton of personality. It's completely intuitive, allowing you to fill in the puzzle as quickly as you can figure it out. It offers genuinely funny levels and a surprisingly enjoyable soundtrack. All I can ask for is more: more levels, more background music, more of whatever else was poured into this game to make it so awesome.
One of my all-time favorites.
I’ve had this game for years and I still come back to it frequently. It is very very well made. Slick and simple illustration-style graphics, catchy tunes that I scat to throughout the day, fantastic tutorial to get you rolling quickly, amazing range of difficulty from a micro puzzle you can knock out while waiting at a red light to some real brain punchers that could take 30 minutes or more. Very entertaining and it makes me feel like I’m doing something good for my mind - at least staving off the onset of dementia in my older years. Well done!
