Pair - Bring the showroom to your living room
By Pair Inc.
This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
Pair is the easiest way to test the fit and finish of major name brand home furnishings in your own space using only your iPhone or iPad in true 3D Augmented Reality.
Now, take your rooms to go with snapshot mode. Simply take a snapshot of your space and you can add as many products at true scale as you like. Snapshot mode lets you take your design while on the go or while away from home, and share with friends and family.
You can always go "live" to walk around your products like they are real in fully walkable Augmented Reality to get a in-depth look at your new living space.
Browse the expansive Pair catalog, and build an infinite number of rooms with furnishings you want to try at true scale.

Great concept, confusing layout
The need to constantly swap between the different views makes it very laborious to try out many furnitures. The navigation layout is straight out of Snapchat, which, as someone no longer in school, confuses me greatly. Adding furnitures to my room does nothing, but sometimes all my furnitures are piled in together. The add buttons are in the upper right corners of the thumbnails but when all the thumbnails have white background on a white background, it's confusing to decipher which add button goes with which furniture. There are also too many views which require navigating back and forth. I end up having to tap at all corners of the screen just for the simple process of finding some furnitures, adding it, going to my room to see what it looks like, and then... going back to find more furnitures. I would add a bunch to my current room, but I couldn't tell if I was doing it wrong or if the app simple does not work. Either way I could not queue up multiple furnitures in a room, or at least there was no indication of newly added furnitures when I went back to my room.
It's not intuitive yet
It took me over a day to figure out how to find more than just the 5 pieces of furniture it shows you. You have to try to save it by hearting it which then gives you the option to sign up.
Also for reasons I can't understand the app horribly blurs the camera. I can use my camera in any app and it's clear but this app blurs it. So it's not great to save and share with with friends if it looks like I'm using an iPhone 3
Concept is great. I love the idea I just want some refinements. Also* I found this by watching that app show on Apple Music.
I wanted to love it, but...
It needs a ton of work. I am a Realtor and need an app like this. Often we are selling homes that are empty. This could be perfect, but it sure has a long way to go. How about -
- A use of my camera so the image is clear, in focus, bright.
- Ability to not just place furniture, but rotate it in all directions. Useless without this.
- Ability to upload a previously taken image into the program
- Ability to save the created AR image anywhere I choose, in HD
- How about just the simplest of manuals, or a real support page on your website with FAQ?
These would be a good start. Take the suggestions people are making and upgrade your app quickly. If you do that, you may have a hit on your hands. Otherwise you will lose all your time and investment.
