I love pandora, but
I can't be picky because I've had my free account for so long, but pandora has a few draw backs. it's great for car music and just music in general, sure. The music "quality" difference is as subtle as any difference could get, and overall liking songs does do something. However it eats my battery tremendously because its always loading ads, on top of the standard slow batter drain the music adds. The massive loading of pop ups and video ads, makes "paying" seem more like "getting paid more" just theoretically if an ad gave 5 cents they would be making quite A bit of money, how do you think Youtubers do it. I could add a bit of evidence to this I've had this account for 6 years, and about 4 years back is when the ad bloom started; I love pandora and all its music glory-- however I would also like to call people and keep an average life after 1 hour if listening time.
Overall if you're listening on the go etc... I would recommend you give this a try, amazing for some good R&R time, or anything with some music really. Just be weary about their current mobil ad abuse-- I mean this term in the lightest sense, not so much abuse as over use.
All you people complaining about commercials need to f--- off! Pay a few dollars and they are gone, don't pay..then deal with it..you are still getting free music. I pay and use it for my massage business I find great music that isn't the typical crappy flutes and flowing streams everyone else uses, I actually have gotten good reviews specifically for having good music rather than the same old bulls---. I've been using pandora for around 10 years. First it was on my computer and opened me up to a ton of new and old music I probably never would have experienced otherwise. Now I have the app and use it for everything. Way better than radio..they have commercials too but you have no input on what you want to hear. Better than buying albums when I only like one or two songs. Opens me up to new things, if I don't like it I skip it. I'm 32 and I read a lot of these reviews, sounds like some entitled little spoiled brats complaining about a FREE app. Notice the people who do pay aren't complaining. Keep that in mind little kids...you get what you pay for. Nobody owes you sh-- pay or shut the fu-- up!!
Usually happy with Panfora not now.
I received an email stating that you "added more Blues Traveler songs to my Blues Traveler station - including songs from their new album Blow Up The Moon. Sign on now to listen." So I did. The first song was an old BT song, okay, then the next 10 songs were from other bands which I had to skip or give a "thumbs down" to. Then another old BT song played. This morning I tried it again. First song was from BTs first album. I love all BT, but if you are going to advertise that you have new music, queue it up! If I'm looking to create a station with a real band name, I don't king hearing other artists on that station in their same genre, but play more songs from that band. That's why I named the station after that band - to hear at least 70-80 percent of he music on that station from that band. I have the full paid version of this app so I have a right to my gripe. That's why you only get 3 stars. Please change your policy in the near future. Thank you.
