a little tweaking, Please!
I STILL like this app for the most part, but there are Three [xtwox] things that are quite frustrating. Both iPhone and iPad versions.
I believe it would be very beneficial and probably very popular if you would give us the ability to RESIZE our tools!
Transparency for the colours!!!
that would be Awesome!
The zoom seems a bit cleaner, but it could still use a little more depth.
Digital art gives artists more variety than conventional arts. For the first time, we have the ability to do multiple techniques in the same hour to a creation. but it comes with some creative temptations! Like wanting to be immersed in every detail to bring the work to life and to bring those details to perfection.
This app is good. the tools handle RELIABLY! that is extremely important.
what we need is the ability to work with Much Finer Detail! (On All devices!) Some of my creations need hairline control of a light tint wash. at this time, all I can do is keep remixing paint over & over till I get what I'm looking for... and trying to "fudge" fine lines with pencil and pen. but the lines are never small enough.
that's about as frustrating as it gets.
it would be Awesome to see these issues addressed.
if it's not asking too much... could we get Layering? it would be really useful for folks doing art for animation.
No sync across devices, no Mac app? No thanks.
This is not the award-winning version of this app, they ditched that one a year ago and have been struggling to make a notes app that actually makes sense. This version misses the mark by a long shot. The UI is not intuitive, and many features that used to work quite smoothly are now glitchy or hard to find. The great art tools are still great, but paper is trying too hard to be all things at once, there are other apps specifically for artists that are just as good and with a much smarter UI design.
The app is supposed to be universal, but it does not sync between iPhone and iPad, and there is no app for Mac. That makes it less than practical or useful as a notes app. You cannot switch to portrait mode on iPad, which is frustrating to say the least. The frequent tweaks and updates seem all about coming up with new names for notes and notebooks, and new configurations for menus, and not much else. I still miss the old version of this app.
For some reason I consider this app a must have, yet I never use. Never. The drawing tools are second to none. I have yet to find an app with better tools. But the app is designed for a very specific use case: the artsy-fartsy hipster who draws lots of "concept sketches" and writes insubstantial notes. This app simply has no place in my life.
You can use Paper to create to-dos, but why do that when I have OmniFocus or Google Keep?
You can write little notes, but Paper doesn't compete with Evernote.
You could take lecture notes, but the canvas is too small and you can't integrate typed text. So I guess it's Notability.
53 has lost focus. This app has no real use case beyond the fantasies of the developers.
