Great App

I never review apps but this one warranted the time. I'm constantly finding recipes on the web, facebook, email, etc and I never can remember where I saved them. Pinterest only works about half the time for me so that wasn't working either. Then I found paprika. Wow! I was able to import my current cookbook from living cookbook desktop application. Now every recipe I find on the web, with the click of a button, saves into my paprika cookbook which includes all my current desktop recipes. I leave them uncategorized until I try them and either delete it or put it in the proper category for future reference. It is awesome. I'd say the two downsides are the price, at $4.99 for each device, it's steep but well worth the time it has saved me, and the fact that you can't just snap a picture of a magazine recipe and save it like some other apps are capable of doing. Aside from those two obstacles it is worth every penny. The seamless sync between devices is great as well. I'll find and save a recipe on. Y iPad and it will be on my phone when I'm at the store shopping. Great app! You won't be sorry for purchasing this!

The BEST recipe app...it's the truth, not hyperbole!

I was skeptical about the app because it cost a bit of money, but it is so well designed, EASY to use, easy to customize, menu planning is fun and fast, and the grocery list created is perfect as it is or you can edit and add items easily. It can capture a recipe off the web faster than you can scroll down to actually look at the recipe. I do this a lot and if I don't like the recipe, I then just reset the screen, and move on. I like creating a week's worth of menus fast. If I had a dish a few weeks ago and can't remember what it was called, I simply scroll through my calendar of menus and find it and add it to my current week's menu in seconds. I have the app on my iPad and iPhone, so it is always available whether home or away. It syncs very quickly. I have fun using this app, and my cooking is so much more than it used to be. If you are cooking more than before, you need this app. I believe it is the best app out there. Paprika, I love you!

LOVE LOVE LOVE This App!

I've been using Paprika for about 5 years now, and like it so much that I'm increasingly using it for all my cooking. I have all my favorite recipes in it, including many that I've entered myself manually from old clippings and handwritten recipes. I particularly love the fact that whenever I find a recipe in a newspaper or magazine that I want to "clip," I can navigate to it in the Paprika browser and just download it - or, in the (increasingly unusual) event that the website isn't supported by Paprika, I can use the tools to copy and save it. (In the very unusual event that I can't find the recipe by browsing, I can simply enter it manually.) I also love being able to sort the categories the way I like, create new categories and subcategories, and the fact that the app automatically stays open when I'm cooking from a recipe in it. I have the app on my iPhone, iPad, and PC, and I really can't think of anything I DON'T Like about the app!
