So informative, so useful
We lived this. It accurately portrays how the disease progresses in an elderly person and the impact for caregivers. It could more strongly emphasize the benefits of establishing an early relationship with a licensed care social worker (LCSW). Her monthly meetings with my dad established the bond that was invaluable when we needed it the most. She was also a strong resource for navigating the complex medical system. We were fortunate to have such a dedicated professional by our side.
I was looking for something like this
My dad was diagnosed with PD 7 years ago and I was looking for a tool like this one. I work full time and I find in this app the information that I need written in a way that I can understand. Most important, I find info that is difficult to find in other places - for example information about what to expect in doctors visits and information about driving and PD.
Great for family members and those living with PD
This site is content rich, but super easy to read and navigate. My cousin Joyce has PD and she is 70 so while she directly may not use the app all of my family members and I are downloading it and using it as a resource for us and Joyce. Great app- love the near me section.
