Ratings and Reviews
I started playing Particle Mace on the PC version, which has all the different ships. I was sad to see that the iOS version didn’t support that. Hoping to see that at some point in the future! The reason I rate this game 3 stars is that the positioning of the control circle for the ship is in a not great spot on the phone screen. Every other game, I end up causing the swipe up menu (with the volume/WiFi/etc controls) to pop up in the middle of my round. It’s super frustrating. I wish there was an option move it up or something because despite how much I love this game, this bug/feature is so frustrating.
Great game, and interesting idea! Nicely done kinetics of the particles and feedback sound and visual of hits and kills...however, while satisfying as the camera shake is when you get a kill, I'd tone it down a notch because when you get to some serious multi kills which are essential for getting those top scores, the rapid successive camera shake makes it almost impossible to see where your ship is going and usually results in you hitting something. This is frustrating when you're trying to get #1 scorning on Hard ;)
It's a really fun and well put together game. You fly a ship trailing a weapon that flexes with the ships movement (like a whip) You take out enemies and asteroids with the end of the whip. Its all procedurally generated and has levels of difficulty and unlockable ships. It's brilliant in design and execution. I've not had any crashes or any lag. Very nicely done. Thank you devs! When are we getting Particle Mace 2?
