Annoying

I use this app almost every weekday. It is more convenient than paying the meter, but for an app, it is second rate. It is SLOW. App response is generally slow, and the daily process to check in takes three screens (it should be just one, with an option to change your location if needed). You cannot check your account history/verify recent payments from the app, which is absolutely ridiculous. I use it, but I still get tickets because the user interface is too slow and counterintuitive for a daily commuter. I often enter my data, but I must forget to wait around for the confirmation screen and hit the final confirmation button. Yes, that's my fault, but a well-designed app wouldn't have this problem. With a few tweaks, this app could be sooooo much better.

MISLEADING

I needed to park for 4 hours at a meter that had a 10 hour limit. This app would only permit me to choose 2 hours. So I thought I could use the Extend Time feature, but it would not work. Then after the time expired, I tried to pay again and was informed that I could not do so for 18 minutes. Rather than risk a ticket I left early.
I emailed customer service and this was the reply:
Unfortunately the meters do not have the technology to update along with our system when you place a PayByPhone transaction. To warn customers about this we have placed a message on our automated phone system and on our apps that states that the meter will continue to show as 'expired', we have also listed this information on our website as part of our FAQ section.

Good App

Others complain that it doesn't remember locations but I actually park at different places all over the city for work so that's fine for me. I guess it can't be made for just one type of user so it's generic enough that all users can use it.

Personally, anything is better than digging around for change and even better, this pretty much eliminates the hassle of the max time limit posted. As long as you keep adding money you can use a metered spot for as long as you need it. Love it!
