Use this accurate and easy-to-use calculator to better manage your paycheck. Calculate your net pay or take-home-pay by entering your per-period or annual salary along with the pertinent Federal, State and local W-4 information into our basic payroll calculator.
This elegantly designed App is brought to you by the software firm behind the most popular payroll website, PaycheckCity.com
Do "what if" scenarios and see how adjusting your deductions might impact your net pay. Expecting a baby? New Job? Change in benefits? Tweaking your 401k? All these things can impact your take-home-pay. The calculator can save up to 5 previous calculators for easy reference between difference scenarios.
Perhaps you are in a state with local taxes? Not a problem, simply use your smart phone’s location feature to pinpoint your taxes precisely or enter your address to get the results you need. No other payroll calculator matches the accuracy of PaycheckCity.

This app was just what I was looking for to replace my Adobe Flash web-based salary calculator.
(for +1 star) The app could be a bit more user-friendly, however. For example, on the final calculation result screen, the inputted gross yearly salary doesn't appear anywhere. It should be shown for reference on the results page. And the results could be adjusted a bit to all fit nicely on the one iPhone screen (it's a bit cut off at the bottom).
There one feature I would love to have and would give this 5-stars is a reverse net salary calculator. Essentially, the user inputs the net amount they want per year or pay period and it would calculate the gross amount necessary per year taxes included. So, say you were making $2,500 a paycheck and wanted $3,000 a paycheck at your next job. The app would tell you that to go from $2,500 to $3,000 a paycheck, you would need make about $20,000 more gross (give or take depending on options inputted including residing state).
Thanks for listening, developers! ;-)
Is it me?
Ok so my hubby suggested I use this website to get an idea on my paychecks. He said its fairly accurate and has had no problem but still relies on himself more. New job=contract status which means not on salary for the first time in about 7 years and weekly at that. So I was happy to see this app and immediately downloaded it. I input all the necessary info and my state and government allowances and wallah! Should be as accurate as possible right? Wrong!!! My hubby is an account so I had him calculate my earnings every so often and he comes up with a very clear and almost exact amount every time, paycheck city is off b/w $40-$60 dollars every check!!! Bums me out every time, maybe they need new calculators!!! Moral. If you get weekly checks expect the amount they calculate to be off a bit!
I love this app! I get paid weekly and it's always nice to know how much I am going to receive at the end of each week. Just plug in my hourly rates (standard pay rate and overtime when applicable), round my withholding as my employer does, minus my weekly child support deduction and wallah, the calculation hits it on the head every time. I use my actual check stubs to verify and it has always been dead on to the very last cent. Thanks PayCheckCity!
